Do I need health insurance to become a member?
No, patients are not required to carry or obtain health insurance to become a
member of LOMED DPC.
Does my insurance pay for my visits?
We do not bill your insurance company or charge you a co-pay. Your monthly membership fee covers all visits.
Does my membership count toward my deductible?
No, monthly membership fees cannot be claimed as expenses toward your deductible.
Can I pay with Medicare/Medicaid?
We accept Medicare and Medicaid patients, but we do not bill either payer. Patients cannot bill Medicare or Medicaid for our services. Dr. Lutsyk has opted out of Medicare to comply with regulations.
Can I pay with my HSA?
Patients can use HSA funds for healthcare-related costs such as medications, labs, or imaging. However, it is not currently legal to use HSA funds to pay for a DPC membership, as it is considered a healthcare service, not a healthcare plan.
Can I buy memberships for my employees?
Yes. Purchasing DPC memberships for employees is tax-deductible and offers a cost-effective benefit compared to traditional health insurance plans.
What if I need to cancel?
You may cancel at any time without penalty. Please note:

Membership fees are non-refundable if billing occurs within one business day of the cancellation notice or has already been processed.

Re-enrollment after cancellation incurs a fee of $150. This fee discourages abuse of services but may be waived in special circumstances, such as military deployment.

Is there a registration fee?
No, we do not charge a registration fee.
When do regular membership fees begin?
Regular fees begin on the first day of the calendar month following your enrollment or the start of your membership.
What if I decide not to become a member after the first visit?
If you decide DPC is not for you, that's okay. There is no obligation to continue.
Do you offer one-time consultations for non-members?
Yes. A one-time consultation costs $175 and includes a full history and physical exam.
